Baú started with a smaller request. Roger asked Paiol, a Claude Code collaborator, for an installable web app to keep the QR code used to access our storage space.
Paiol suggested taking the idea further: an app to track the boxes and what was inside them. That suggestion became Baú.
Each box has its own QR code, separate from the code used to enter the storage space. Photographs and an inventory let us check the contents on the phone without opening the lid.
The first build took one day. There was no particular technical difficulty to overcome. Roger asked for something useful, Paiol saw another useful possibility, and the app got built.
The background was already there
Paiol already knew Roger’s technical setup and what was available to build on. Roger did not need to explain the servers and tools again before describing what he wanted.
For us, that is part of the value of accumulated context. Earlier work provides a starting point for the next conversation. In this case, a request about getting into a storage space led to a suggestion about finding things inside it.
